The DEZ PCB Inspection Workstation creates a controlled operator position inside an SMT production line. It transports the PCB to a configured working position, holds it for visual inspection or a manual operation, and releases it to the next process when the task is complete.
An ESD flat belt, weighted machine structure, ergonomic arm-support area and configurable positioning zones make the workstation suitable for repeated inspection, verification and manual assembly tasks. Automatic mode also allows it to operate as a standard transfer section when operator intervention is not required. Available in 500 mm and 1000 mm standard lengths for PCBs from 50 × 50 mm to 460 × 460 mm.

Many SMT production lines require operators to inspect, confirm or manually process PCBs without removing them from the automated production flow.
The ESD PCB Inspection Conveyor creates a dedicated working position between two SMT processes. Once the PCB enters the inspection zone, it can be stopped in front of the operator for visual checking, barcode verification, component confirmation or a manual assembly task. After the operation is complete, the board is released to the downstream machine.
Compared with a basic transfer conveyor, this model places greater emphasis on ESD protection, machine stability, operator comfort and accurate multi-zone PCB positioning.
It forms part of the DEZ SMT SMT handling equipment range and can be integrated into new or existing PCB assembly lines.

The workstation can be positioned between compatible SMT machines wherever a manual inspection, verification or assembly step is required.

The DEZ workstation uses ESD flat belts as the PCB edge-contact surface. The belt configuration supports stable board movement through the entry, working and exit positions while helping reduce charge accumulation during transfer.
The machine must be connected to the factory’s approved grounding and ESD-control system during installation. Grounding points, belts and surrounding operator controls should be inspected as part of the plant’s regular ESD verification procedure.

The machine configuration should be confirmed according to more than the maximum PCB dimensions. Available factory space, operator workflow, inspection time and the surrounding equipment all affect the final design.
Available customisation includes:
Yes. The number and arrangement of sensing zones can be configured according to the conveyor length and required workflow.
Yes. A SMEMA-compatible interface is included for communication with suitable upstream and downstream SMT equipment.
Yes. Conveyor height and left-to-right or right-to-left transfer can be configured for the production line.
The machine uses ESD flat belts. During installation, it should also be connected to the factory’s approved grounding and ESD control system.
Yes. PCB samples can be used to confirm transfer, positioning, rail adjustment and line compatibility before shipment.
