The DEZ SMT PCB Inspection Conveyor combines stable PCB transportation with an ergonomic manual inspection station. Integrated lighting, adjustable conveyor width and variable speed control allow operators to inspect, verify or manually process PCBs without disrupting the SMT production line.
Available in multiple lengths and PCB width configurations, the conveyor integrates easily with upstream and downstream equipment through a standard SMEMA interface.
Highlights
Automated SMT equipment can transfer, print, place and inspect PCBs continuously, but many production lines still require a controlled point for operator verification.
The PCB Inspection Conveyor creates this working position without removing the board from the line. An operator can stop the PCB, inspect component orientation, check visible soldering conditions, verify a barcode or complete a minor manual operation before releasing the board downstream.
It can be installed after solder paste printing, before or after reflow soldering, beside an AOI system or between automated and manual processes.
As part of the wider SMT handling equipment range, the conveyor can be configured around the PCB dimensions, line height, transfer direction and surrounding machines.

Manual PCB inspection is often performed on separate tables or directly beside the production line. This can create unnecessary board handling, inconsistent inspection conditions and production delays.
The DEZ SMT PCB Inspection Conveyor provides a controlled inline workstation where operators can inspect and release each PCB while the surrounding SMT equipment remains connected.

The conveyor can be used wherever a controlled manual station is required between automated SMT processes.

Choose the PCB Inspection Conveyor when an operator must stop the board and perform a visual check or manual operation. Its inspection light, working position and operator-controlled release make it suitable for production stages that require human confirmation.
A standard conveyor is sufficient when the process only requires continuous board transfer or buffering. A dual-rail model is more suitable when the line uses dual rail and requires higher transfer capacity.
The required machine should therefore be selected according to the actual operation performed at that position—not only according to PCB size.

Built Around Your Existing Production Line
DEZ SMT also reviews the position of the machine, available working space, production direction, conveyor height and communication requirements.
Available customisation includes conveyor length, rail width, transfer direction, operating height, belt type, number of inspection zones and local electrical configuration.
For an existing line, provide a simple layout or photographs showing the upstream and downstream machines. This helps confirm whether mechanical dimensions, board transfer positions and SMEMA communication are compatible before production.
No. The standard machine is a manual inspection workstation with integrated lighting and controlled PCB positioning. It does not automatically recognise or classify defects.
Yes. The machine supports both inspection and automatic operating modes. In automatic mode, it can transfer PCBs between compatible upstream and downstream equipment.
Yes. It supports standard SMEMA communication. The conveyor height, direction, rail width and machine length can be configured around the existing line.
The standard models support different PCB ranges. The largest listed model, DEZ-100XL-N, supports PCBs up to 530 × 460 mm. Larger customised configurations should be confirmed with DEZ SMT.
Yes. The conveyor length and number of sensing or working zones can be customised according to the inspection process and available space.
Send the minimum and maximum PCB dimensions, PCB thickness and weight, conveyor length, line height, transfer direction, power supply and details of the machines installed before and after the conveyor.
